Guilt of Dreams
Thu Mar 15 2007

Something happens to you when you are awakened in the morning with a phone call. It's like I have a mark on my forehead that indicates I was jerked from sleep too quickly and am therefore not to be relied upon for much of anything.

I was in the middle of a disturbing dream in which I had been away from my desk at work and when I came back, I found that the little company I worked for had been robbed. Our computers were gone, leaving nothing on the desks but dust and discarded papers.

This was very disturbing. I haven't shaken the feeling all day long.

Half of it I put down to leftover guilt feelings, because in my dream, I had taken a really long lunch and should have been at my desk when the robbery occured. I am so prone to feeling guilt that I will even take it on from imaginary sources. Good heavens.

Well, I am headed outdoors to shake off the cobwebs and prune the dead growth from the blackberries. Been meaning to do that for weeks.
No more excuses.

Oh yeah. In case you want to try something truly divine in the food department..... Try a spoonful of lemon curd in some cottage cheese.

My oh my. . .

You can thank me later.

(What is with this lemon curd fixation? What, are we going to put in in our tea next?)

Hmmmmmm...... interesting idea......

(Good God! The woman is daft.)

I hate disturbing dreams. They can turn a day upside down and inside out. I hate the feeling of forboding and sadness they leave. Good idea to go outside and let the fresh air cure whatever is left of the nasty stuff.

I don't know ().... lemon in tea is pretty nice. She could be on to something..... like a lemon-tea latte.... it could end up being the latest taste sensation and then wouldn't you feel foolish?
