Air Sunny

[album 65561 Sunny Air2.JPG]
Here is Sunny out by the airport day before yesterday. The only reason she is not a blur is that she had run herself to a near frazzle when I took this picture. We were just getting ready to head back home.
I am taking advantage of the conditions in the fields right now. The grasses have been smashed flat by the rain and wind, but as you can see, they are starting to grow again, and soon it will be thigh high and not so easy to walk in. I am scouting out places to go that have a fire break road or some kind of old track that I can get through later. We are both going to have to have some kind of protection against ticks pretty soon too, as the grass will be alive with them in a few months I'm sure.
I am waiting impatiently for my vegetable and flower seeds to arrive in the mail. I want to start my tomato plants and get some sweet peas into the ground. And this year, I am going to rig up a clothesline in the back yard. According to our homeowner's regulations, you are not allowed to have one. (silly eh?) But I figure if we install a retractable one, no one will object.
The outdoors is becoming a more hospitable place needless to say. . . Spring approaches.

I'm looking for a place myself to take Shelby. I need to find a place where she can run and run and not come across a road, that is accessible to me in the vehicles I have! I'm currently eyeing the local baseball fields, but hoping for something with more room and smells for her to wear herself out at!
Thanks for the reminder about fleas and ticks, I need to get some Advantage from the vet when I take Hellby in next week!

We always have our worst 'winter' weather in February and early March... but then mid-March comes the good stuff. I hope it'll be nice this year.

Spring better hurry up and get here, or I'm gonna succumb to SAD and move to Arizona.
What a great place for Sunny. Dogs who live in fenced back yards are sad cases.

definitely silly that you're not allowed to rig up a clothesline!
ryc: yup you can walk out on it but better to stick to the sandbars etc that fork out into the bay otherwise you find yourself knee deep in mud

I feel an early spring coming on here. The daffodils are about four inches tall, the tulips are up an inch, snowdrops are blooming and the hydrangias are budding; even the robins have returned. Now all we need is some sunshine. :)

It's great Sunny is such an active dog. You're getting out and about more often now. ;-)
