Sometimes A Great Notion

After the initial shock of disappointment yesterday… and the near miss that almost landed our nameless stuffed lamb in the dustbin of creative failures….
a friend made a suggestion.
I followed her advice.
This is what the advice looked like.
Notice the difference in the color of the yarn before and after felting!
This morning I tossed her back into the washer, trying not to get my hopes up too high.
Turns out I should have let them soar.
Thank you C. for the great idea.
You saved a little lamb.
And part of my sanity. :-)

Felting is an amazing process.......I can barely see her scars.
And pardon me for getting all philosophical again, but as I was sitting here it struck me that we all have wounded places and scars that don't quite disappear. And how those same scars build character and give us a different kind of beauty.
And should you wish to find a name.......... these are "beautiful". ;)
