Butterflies And Moon Bags
Wed Jan 19 2005

I'm pacing the floor, trying to distract myself with other things, but I'm just plain nervous, there's no getting around it.

It's a NICE kind of nervous actually.

I have printed out 14 copies of my essay to share with the group. And I realized that I may come home with copies of all kinds of good stuff written by the other people. I better bring a bag to put them in.

I finished my felted bag today and must say I'm very happy with it all in all. It's a just right, medium small purse. I had the little silver moon pin already and it just sets it off to a tee. I am going to have to look for interesting do dads to put on these bags now.

The real color is not quite this hot pink, it is really a more muted fuchsia color in real life. What interesting and fun projects these have turned out to be... I can't thank ImNotLisa enough for showing me the way!!!

Jitters are taking over again..... I gotta get up and do something else....

Oy!

Your bag is too cool! I need to make one myself becuase I've been seeing them on blogs all over and want one! I wonder if it will work as well with crochet? Probably not, unless I crochet really tight.

Good luck at your class. I hope you're able to give good feedback to others as well as get some of your own.

    RYC: Yes. But.

You would not believe the price of 27 yards of fine bridle leather combined with 50+ hours of saddler's labor to build one. In truth, it's a bargain when you look at it that way...

The horse didn't cost much more than a rescue adoption would have. Both together less than the cost of a segway scooter or a motorbike. Still.

    Have fun!

Oh, that is cute! I love the way you attached the handle. Is this bag crocheted or knitted?

I may have to make one for me..... if the good doctor ever lets me take up my hook again, that is.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about the writing group. It sounds like it will be very interesting. Hope you have fun.

Drat. I was hoping that you'd come back today with a report on how the group was. I'll stay tuned for tomorrow's update.

Seeing your beautiful little silver moon set an idea off in my non-crafty head. What about a pair of vintage/antique buttons, one on each side and a chainstitched loop closure to secure the middle of the opening, somewhat? It sounds like it would be functional AND attractive. What do you think?

Also, it's now almost 7:30, and I hope your meeting is going swimmingly! I've always enjoyed writer's workshops immensely.

I am soo jealous of your talent, I can't even sew a button on because I am just too impatient, maybe I should just have a go one day and see what happens - hmm maybe not! I think your bag is beautiful, you should take orders (hint! *giggling*)

I hope the meeting went well, I am nervous for you! You will do great though...bet you're the best one there!
