Too Much Fun
Fri Aug 24 2007

My favorite part of the day today was picking the green beans in my friend's garden. I then proceeded to cook them 'Hillbilly Style' which is also called 'wilted green beans' which is pretty much cooked to within and inch of their lives. I can't help it. I was raised wrong.

I'm taking lots of pictures this time but I can't get them all on here till I get home.

I really needed a country break I can tell you that much.

And I know I am in the country too, because when I stopped at the grocery store day before yesterday I saw at least four other women who were dressed just like me!  Longish summer dresses.  I thought.... OMG! I am among My Peeps!

Well, Toodle Pip for now!

(She's been watching too much "How Clean Is Your House" on the BBC.)

And I, for one, am glad you are here in the country.

Although I will agree that you WERE raised WRONG on how to cook green beans. :o)
    Hugs!

Lol, I only like fresh green beans. Those cooked half to death ones even taste better that way. ;-)

You were not raised wrong.... anybody raised in the country knows that's how its done. I do hope you remembered the bacon....... yum.

*Sighs at the thought and wanders off to the garden in search of green beans for dinner.*

I had to laugh at InStitches comment about the bacon because you're Jewish, aren't you?

Glad you're having such a good time!

I don't care for crispy veggies when they're cooked. Sounds good enough to eat! ;o]

    God Bless...

RYC: Yes, I shot the video with my trusty Kodak camera. It's got a great video camera that I don't use nearly enough for stuff like that. I was inside, stretched over the kitchen sink, camera gingerly propped against the window. If I go outside the hummers leave and I don't have the patience to wait for them to come back. Plus, mosquitoes!

You might be a Raveler over the weekend then! Yippee!!! :o)
