Packing
I am doing all the laundry and getting ready to pack for our trip north for my youngest son's wedding this weekend.
It is a happy occasion and a great reason to get out of Dodge.
I will be away from the computer, and since I don't have my "Fantasy Laptop" I may be missing a few entries over the next few days. Sorry, and I'll miss you!
I HAVE actually been looking at laptops in the stores and on line. But feel completely out of my depth when it comes to knowing what I want and what I would get if I decided to get it, and where to get the money to pay for such an extravagance! HENCE the word "Fantasy" in front of the word Laptop!
Has anybody been watching "Colonial House" on PBS?
Thank God our ancestors were made of sterner stuff, otherwise we would never have made it. This program is WAY more interesting to me than Survivor any day.....in any century!

I'm afraid I haven't been watching. I probably would have given it a try, but that madrigal advertisement that PBS has on the radios that goes on and on and on and on and on just put me right off it.
I've been seriously contemplating a laptop myself. I like Dell's selection, and they're supposed to have really good customer support. When some nice philanthropist dies and leaves me the million I deserve it'll be the first thing I get.

Have a wonderful trip and congratulations to the happy couple! As for laptops have you tried e-bay? I bought mine from there and it cost me so little compared to the full price in the shops.
The reality show sounds interesting we've had a few series of a programme like that where different families must relive a different time period so far we've had the Edwardian house, the WW2 house, the Georgian mansion with one lot as servants and the other the masters. It was quite addictive and fascinating for research!
