I don't know if our Fearless Leader did it or not, he probably did, they are all back where they belong.

I am going to go make a cup of tea and think over my saving of posts issues. 

I have learned my lesson. 

They will be saved scrupulously from now on, in several places.

That was SCARY!

    Consider your entries recovered :)

    Remember with w.bloggar that it works on the server UNLESS you're specifically clicking the save locally button... I suspect you don't have any on your local computer - though of course I can't be sure. But the 'Posts' button works directly to the server.

    I'm guessing from your Whew entry that you actually don't know who I am ;)

    Nonetheless, don't panic, you can't actually delete entries from DearDiary (except by some awfully awfully obscure means) and if the worst comes to the worst and someone really manages to get past everything, there's 7 offsite backups (one for each day of the week) of the database.

    Losing entries at DearDiary is extremely unlikely I'm pleased to say :)

    (Of course all that is only true if the entry actually makes it into the database - if you try to post and get an Internal Server Error or a timeout then it probably never made it and of course the statement no longer holds true)

    I was doing a disk cleanup, and deleted something I didn't think I needed. Big oops!

    I finally found my Restore Program, and now everything is as it was on 1 March. And I have my favorite FreeCell back. Among other things.

    But I still haven't figured out what I can safely delete, so my mail space runs close to 100% usage all the time. And still can't find where I can format a disk. Nerd I ain't.

    All's well that ends well, I say!

    On the hydrangia front, I bought a blue one just knowing full well I'll wind up with pink or white by next year *sigh*. I really need to do some acid testing before I plant it and go from there.

    Whew! That could have been a real disaster! Good thing they aren't lost forever, as you spend so much time on the entries that it's like the PC crashing right when you've finished an assignment you forgot to save (happened to me once...I literally cried)

    I'll be sure to have a listen to that beatles song upon your fine recommendation :o)

    WHEW! is right. I was screaming right along with you and almost had a panic attack until I got to the end and saw you got it all back. Don't EVER scare me like that again!! :o}

    The Beatles are awesome. The greatest band that ever was. Wouldn't even think of arguing about that.

    That would be precisely the reason I write in Word and then copy and paste to DD. It is good to know though that entries can't be easily lost. *claps hands for DD administrators*
