Today I harvested almost all my lavender.
The plants are pretty good sized now and some have been growing for about 3 years.
It was a very nice chore early in the morning.
A laundry basket full... wow.
What a generous plant, to have such pretty blooms and such a heady fragrance!
I spread all these out to dry on a sheet in the Room of Requirement:
That's a lotta lavender!
I'll use most of it in the chicken coop to keep things smelling nice, and it helps keep insects away.
But really, I should make some sachets with it. We'll see if that flies as a snowy day project.
I also picked a few things in the garden this morning.
Looks like lunch to me!
These are the rewards of all the work and fuss.
I think it's a good trade. :-)
