For some reason, today I decided to turn my house inside out and give it a good shake.
I even included my storage shed in the turn out.
I took everything out. Bike, lawn mower and all manner of what nots. It looked like the shed had thrown up.
Now it is tidy and I can actually GET to my stuff.
I donated a couple of things to the thrift store in town and hauled a couple of garden tools that I never use down to the barn.
Then the house got roughed up and I showed it who's boss.
Only thing is, now I am completely done in and it's only 3:30 in the afternoon.
I think part of the impulse to get things squared away comes from the fact that a weather front is moving in right now. It's windy [bad for the fires….which are still burning ] and the weather report SAYS we might have a chance for some rain in the next few days. Pray God it's true.
The wind blew the tarp off Lydia's nursery this afternoon, so I've spent 45 minutes putting something back up. Mostly for shade. I ordered roofing, and it is supposed to be delivered some time this week. But in the meantime the brood needs shade.
While I was out in the chicken run, I remembered I wanted to share something with you...
Remember poor Jane at the height of her molt?
Well, she's been busy.
Growing new feathers.
They aren't quite all fluffed out yet, but they are soft as silk.
She looks great.
I asked her if she had anything she would like to say to y'all.
She said yes.
Her statement?
"How do you like me now?"
And she asked me to pass on her theme song.
So here ya go….
