Poll For Prez
Tue Nov 02 2004

As promised, here are the results from our 24 hour Dear Diary poll for President of the United States of America:

George W. Bush : 9

John Kerry : 6

(1 Kiwi would vote for Bush)
(1 Brit would vote for Kerry)
They are not included in the totals, but I wanted to let them have their say!

If you add the two votes from our household, it would be 11 for Bush.

But I don't think pollsters are supposed to poll themselves do you?

Thanks for participating.

My one wish for today is that the PEOPLE choose the president, not the blankity blank lawyers!

And contrarywise to some I have heard say so, if my man doesn't win, I will not be applying for political asylum in France or jumping off any cliffs thank you very much. You see 4 years from now, we get to do this again!

Isn't that Special?

God Bless America.

I don't think I'd jump off a cliff either, and I certainly wouldn't move to France. But I will stomp my feet and pout an awful lot.

I wont do anything so drastic either as move somewhere else or kill myself if my president doesnt win, but I might just smash my TV and sock every liberal I see. LOL

Oh. Missed out on the poll, dang it. Well, belatedly:

There were three votes from this household for Kerry.

We'll stay here, even if Bush wins, too.

    Hugs,

Whoops, missed the poll; I guess it's no surprise R and I both voted for Kerry, so that's 8 to 9. She actually has more in common with the Republican Party and doesn't like Kerry much either, but says, "I can't vote for someone who looks like he was dropped on his head!" She generally votes for people whose names she likes. :0

I'm not planning to sock anybody if Bush wins again; and I can't really move out of the country (issues about getting CB a passport), so I'll just have to wait and see. I hope we can all get along peacefully and cherish our right to disagree! Thank you to everyone who did his/her civic duty, and may the best candidate win!

I waited to see if Cher would really move to Europe after the last election, and her ridiculous tearful television plea to Americans to vote for Gore.
I was disappointed that she didn't move. Gee, people in the spotlight being shallow, I'm so surprised.
    NOT.

Gee, are we surprised that the pre-votes were all for Kerry? Hmm, that would be a NO for me. I did get a chuckle about the woman who voted for the Green Party, then went to the back of the machine to tamper with it, in plain view of everyone at that facility.

I have to question whether the people who do actually vote for Nader are really competent to vote, much less function in society. Oh well, it is a free country. I can’t help but wonder how many votes Leonard Peltier will pull in.

If Bush gets in, I will leave the country for sure. Oh hang on a minute, I already live in the UK. Hmmm. Maybe I will have to find another planet to live on instead... he he. I am pretty sure Venus is free from war mongering, power crazy, money driven Republicans at the moment.

Er. Ok. That's enough politics. I am gonna upset someone if I am not careful.

I am sure the world will keep turning and grass will keep growing and Winter will turn to Spring whatever guy happens to be living in the White House. Shit happens. Life goes on.

What I wish is to get rid of the Electoral College.

I'll be in JLI class tonight, but will tuning in to the TV stations to catch the returns after the class. However, I won't be staying up late, but I'll read the paper in the AM.

My one wish for the day is that this be an honest election.

Sure, I'll be upset if Kerry wins, but if he does win I would like it to be an honest win not one brought about by tricks and fraud. That's not winning; that's just pathetic and sad.

Think I'll go open a bottle of Merlot and prepare for what is sure to be an interesting night.

May the best man win! ;)

I am here watching the news channel to see who will win - whatever happens I think it will effect all of us wherever we live.

sorry I missed your poll, even though I can't *really* vote ;-)

Sounds to me like you are two of the 25% of American Jews who voted for Bush. Do you think the other 75% could be right?
