First Snow

Ah..... at last...
What we have all been hoping for:
And we may get even more tonight. I hope that's true.
I'm very happy that the hens that were molting have all feathered out again. Though Phoebe and Goldie have just a little ways to go to be fully feathered.
They try to avoid walking right in the snow.
I don't blame them.
And I have some good/bad news about my original camera.
I actually got it to start working again. So these photos were taken with the good camera.
The bad news is I KNOW that its days are numbered and I still have to find a replacement.
I had a brainstorm the other day to contact a local photographer who puts all kinds of photos on Facebook on our local news page. I thought I might give him a call and ask for some advice.
That's my plan anyway.
I'm trying to get over calling someone I have never met and asking for a favor. Pretty cheeky. But I'm desperate.
( Sounds like a bad combination of personality traits to me.)
Everything sounds bad to you. You lose credibility when you take a negative stand ALL the time.
(Good point.)
(But I still think that's a bad combination.)
Sigh...

I'm guessing your local photographer would be pleased to give you some suggestions, since you obviously appreciate and admire his work ;) -- unless you plan to ask him to give you a camera...... in that case ( ) may be right.
In the meantime - Happy Snow!

Beautiful snow and mountains :)

It snowed here this morning-nothing that sticked though-but it was pretty to watch.
I think it is OK for you to ask a local photographer-they would most likely feel honored you like their pictures so much as to ask their opinion on a camera they might suggest.
Take care and I hope you got more snow!
