24 Hour Train Wreck

I don't know HOW I got it, I don't know WHERE I got it, but somebody slipped me the 24 hour intestinal tract express, with a side of fever.
I think I am going to live. But if you had asked me yesterday, we could have had a long philosophical discussion on that topic.
I'm walking around the house today feeling like I've had the stuffin' pulled out of me. Which is not far from reality. But at least the fever and raging headache is gone.
Jello is my friend.
Did I miss anything?

Deepest sympathy! It's been quite awhile since I was afflicted with similar symptoms, but I have a long memory.
I do hope this passes quickly!

Ah, that 24-hour bug, AKA- food poisoning. Nasty bugger, that. You have the urge to RUN to the bathroom and yet when you get there you don't know which end of your digestive tract to address first. My advice there is to sit on the throne of honor with the waste paper basket in your lap. It's really the only way.
I've been on the Jell-O and ginger ale diet many times. The worst, though, is when you can't even hold water down. It doesn't take too long to get really dehydrated that way.
I hope you feel better very soon. (You may want to stick to clear chicken broth and soda crackers for lunch and dinner, though.)
Cautious and Gentle Hugs,
Cali

How utterly nasty! I certainly hope you recover soon.
You did not miss a thing over in my little corner of the web. I have been running around all week like a... (forgive me little hens everywhere)...a chicken with her head cut off. Gruesome I know, but in its own way terribly accurate. Details will have to wait until I actually have time to write....maybe tomorrow....if I can squeeze it in....so you see you have not missed a thing.
Oh, and do expect a return missive shortly. ;)

You'd have been up for a long philosophical conversation? ;o) I'd have just wanted to hide!

:o) Stephanie Pearl-McPhee makes me drool with every single thing she makes! That shawl is gorgeous but read the 10/16 post and see why I'll never do it - 880 stitches in a row at the end. I'll just admire hers and work on smaller shawls (though I think she did add some repeats in there to make it bigger). It's beautiful!!
I want to make this one - http://swallowtailshawl.blogspot.com/ - but it will have to wait a while... after the afghan I think. Mom is working on it right now so I'll probably post her photos for fun when she gets done.

Hope you're feeling better! I had what I thought was food poisoning - but after a week of agonising pain I figured it was worse than that...ends up I had some Gastro Intestinitis or something....ew.....anyways....hope you're not going through pain as bad as that!
