The Last Samurai, I Mean Mud Ball
Mon Mar 16 2009

Our last day here at the homestead without the Hub Man in residence.

We are ready for him to come home.

On other fronts, my first attempt at dorodango was .... well let's say, less than stellar.  I THINK it was because I didn't put enough layers of soil before I started polishing it. There are high and low spots from a less than round beginning which did not show themselves until the very last stage. BUT you can sort of get the idea of shiny if you do a little extrapolation. There IS reflection of light beginning....

Only thing is if I polish it with the cloth too much, the outer layer breaks down to the dull under layers. I think it looks kind of like Mars on a cloudy day. Eh? Eh?
One day I will try again. It was a rather earthy experience.

(It's Monday. Spare me. Please. I've had enough of your creative Mother Nature crap this weekend... Don't you have laundry or something? Clean some toilets? Wash some windows?)

You know those windows
COULD use a wash.
Playtime is over.
Time to get back to work.

What's the matter with you two? Have you no creative impulses?

(Leondardo Da Vinci was creative.... YOU are playing with mud.)

I LIKE mud.
I want to play in the mud.
It's FUN!

Well at least I have ONE ally in the house. Too bad she's the one just out of diapers. Not a lotta clout.
