In Which We Try To Pull The Plug
Mon Aug 31 2009

Had to take Classy into the vet again.

It was the consensus of the group that the growth on her toe should be removed and tested to see if it is anything we should be worried about.

She was more than a little confused this morning when everyone else got fed and she got left out. Poor thing.

I must admit I am feeling a little overwhelmed by the needs of all these dogs. I feel like I'm falling down on the job in the exercise front, as walking four of them at once is just... crazy making. I may have to do them in shifts, which of course adds to my work load.

It won't last forever, so I am trying to hang in there.

Now my farm on Farm Town... well it's in great shape. All tidy and taken care of... It's so easy to deal with things in the cyberworld... the real world is a LOT messier!

Went to the yarn shop yesterday as she was having a big sale to make room for new inventory.
I bought a few things... came home and started putting colors together and have a nice idea for a felted pouch in the works.  Only thing is, even as I stare at this lovely pile of wonderful yarn, I realize actually KNITTING it will require disengaging from the computer for extended periods of time. My farm may suffer....

(You have no farm. It's a fake farm. Faker than the plastic flowers in the back yard.
Fake fake fake!  Snap out of it!!!)

Easy for you to say.

I have blueberries and pineapples ripening. They need watching.

(I give up.)

Anyway, I have come to that cyclical point of computer overload and am talking myself off the keyboard and trying to engage in the real world more and the cyberworld less.
It is a constant challenge to balance the two.

Constant.

Once again... I need perspective.

(You are a slow learner aren't you?)

Sometimes.

Yep.

(Is that a little house? Hey, that's cute. Are those strawberries growing in the side yard? Those are adorable. Look, you are on level 30! Go you!)

SNAP OUT OF IT  ( ) !!!

Whap!

(Where am I?  What happened?)

See what I mean?

It's a problem. A real problem.

Oh, go can some peaches or something.
Do the laundry.
Run the vacuum.
Clean the bathroom...
THAT'S real.
I've had it with both of you.
Get moving.
Now.
BUK!

But you will continue regular DD entries.

Four dogs at a time? You need to grow another 7 or 8 inches and add a bunch of 24-Hour Fitness muscles!

Oh, beautiful yarn. Aren't your fingers just itching to get started on something?!

    Bless

I finally caved and joined FarmTown. After FOREVER I reached level 15 and once I have the coins amassed I can expand my farm. I definitely like FarmVille better. Easier to gain experience points and coins.

I've currently got coffee growing in 'Ville (16 hours to mature) and coffee planted today in 'Town (3 days to mature). Now I wait. Hopefully 'Town will have some of my trees come up for harvest today.

Which reminds me, I need to go "harvest" milk & chocolate milk from my cows in FarmVille. My ducks may have feathers to harvest also by now...

OK, I was *this* close to getting myself a farm until I realized I had to join Facebook to get one. Oh well. I can't justify another site to maintain on the net right now.

It is about time the farm got a house. And with a strawberry patch no less...... sweet!

    (Snap out of it!)

Perhaps it is time to go knit that pouch.

hmmmm, I haven't been able to motivate to walk in ages. You need help walking 4 dogs at one time. We may have something here that will help both of us. We need to talk! :-)) I have yet to start a farm - I am afraid to get involved! LOL Trying to get my new food blog off the ground is enough to keep me from cleaning and exercising!
