So, Mr. P informed me yesterday that the power company called to say the power would be out for two hours from 10 to Noon today.
I had planned to do laundry today, so as soon as I got up, I put the first of three loads in the washer. By 10 the last load was in the dryer, almost finished. And the power DID go out. But for only 10 minutes or so!
I was all geared up for the disruption of the usual routines, but there really wasn't much to it.
This change in the usual flow of my day had me doing what I DO when I'm feeling dysregulated. I write. Depending on how off balance I feel, sometimes I write a LOT. 🤣
For some reason I decided to write true longhand on one page of my journal. The difference from my usual everyday handwriting is striking.
Thusly:

I have been fascinated with handwriting my whole life. I remember reading a book that my mother had in her library about handwriting analysis. I'm pretty sure that influenced my already sharp interest even more. I read that whole book. I was probably only 13 at the time. I found it hard to grasp that you could tell certain personality traits from looking at someone's handwriting. It felt like a kind of superpower.
But Grok tells me that handwriting analysis is a pseudoscience, and quite unreliable, thus bursting my bubble about the whole subject.
However, the comforting part of learning this means that the above example does not necessarily set off any split personality alarms...
(You hope. I might have a few things to say to Grok about pseudo sciences when it concerns your weird obsession with this topic. Have him ring me up, I'll give him an earful.)
Grok doesn't have ears.
(Are you sure?)
I wonder what he might have to say about pseudo punctuation?
(Never mind.)
Good call.
