Economic Stimulus And Yarn Lust Make Headlines
Wed May 07 2008

We found a nice surprise in our bank account day before yesterday.
The money from Dubbya. Frankly, I don't care what your politics are at the moment, that money was a welcome surprise and I'm thankful for it.

We split the amount between us and Hub Man will do as just as he wills with his, and I am going to play squirrel or dragon, whichever metaphor pleases you most, and sock it away somewhere for a rainy day. But not ALL of it.

I took a little trip to the yarn shop nearby and bought this hank of Manos from Uruguay. I fell under its spell the moment I clapped eyes on it.
I intend to knit it up along with the leftover handspun yarn from my rustic sweater into a purse....

Don't you just feel faint when you look at it?

I did.

Thanks George.

I appreciate it.

And the yarn shop thanks you, too, George. :o)

    I'm feeling light headed.
I need to go lie down.

Yes when it comes to getting money like the stimulus checks I am bipartisan lol. I love those colors, I'm sure you will turn it into a work of functional art lol. Hugs, Richard

Beautiful yarn, but wool still makes me itch.

I guess W doesn't care for me as much as he does for you and HubMan, or maybe my "gift" is delayed because I delayed filing until the last minute. Because I had to pay. I hope what he sends me evenutally will offset what the IRS collected from me.

    Bless

The yarn is beautiful. I can hardly wait to see what it eventually becomes! I've never learned to knit but I used to crochet some. Have a wonderful time creating. Hugs, Summer

You know, that really is very pretty yarn. I love all the blues in it. Combined with the brown from your sweater it should make a smashing purse.

I'm just sure if GW saw it he'd be proud and all together pleased that you had done your part to stimulate the local economy. :) Really, he would!
