Color Me Confused
Fri Jan 02 2009

What day is it?

I'm very discombobulated.

Too many holidays all jammed up together in too short of a time.
I think I'm supposed to be lighting candles pretty soon. An hour or so.

Maybe then I'll have a handle on where we are holding on the calendar.

I've been doing a little knitting. But I can't show it to you. Certain pertinent peeps may be watching. Besides, it has yet to be embellished. I'll share later.
I'll give you one hint. It's pink and sage green.

Bandit has been a real pill. There's no other way to put it. He's not an awful dog, but he's a very persistently annoying one. Barking when he is displeased with..... er, anything. And his tolerance for displeasure is quite low. He is always looking for things on the counter. Unfortunately, since I am less than meticulous about keeping EVERY food item out of reach, he has had some pay offs for his behavior. Drat.

So far I have come up empty handed on great ideas to curb this behavior. Sorry Allimom....

So much for my reputation as a dog whisperer.

(Sound of crash and burn)

Sigh.

My daughter used mouse traps on her sofa to train her dog from jumping on the furniture. They make quite a clatter when they go off so it scares them just enough to be uncertain. It proved to be a fairly effective method. Might be worth a try.

    Maybe Bandit was well named.

Maybe you should try the mouse trap method. It didn't work with Stormy, but might with Bandit.

You could try what my Hubby wants to do, but I won't let him. It involves a supersoaker filled with ammonia water, or an air-soft gun, and the element of surprise.

When I'm truly desperate, I just block off the kitchen with all my dining room chairs. This is my "holiday meal preparation" method, in which I have to keep food on the counter most of the day to facilitate the various steps in the preparation.

If you do find something that works, other than quarantining your kitchen, LET ME KNOW!!!!!
