Tragic Terrarium Tale

I hate to tell you this, I really do.
My terrarium has hairy mold in it.
Which is rather odd considering I have left the lid off of it 90% of the time.
It has withered the really cool plant I found by the sidewalk, and is turning the dense moss from the fields brown. I'm so bummed.
However, the 'weed' plant that I got from the nursery seems to be doing fine. I am going to take out the unhappy plants and leave that one in there. I have some more irish moss in the little six pack from the nursery outside that I'll put in and see what happens.
I don't have the heart to take a picture of it.
We have to look at enough wrack and ruin around the globe these days. I don't want to add to the pile.
Afterwards, I'm going to take a nice bike ride in the sunshine and think happy thoughts...
I have a happy thought!
What is that praytell?
The goggies don't have mold on them!
That's true, but they are hairy. Very hairy. And they all need a bath come to think of it. Thanks SO much for reminding me.
Welcome!

Bummer :(
Once established, molds tend to stay around to strike again so you might want to take everything out, wash the container and then re-plant with fresh soil.

So very sorry.

That "hairy" mold is what I remember best about all the terrariums of the 70s. It seems like they all got it, eventually. I think that's why they went out of style.
