Well it seems that I can get to DD homepage right now, and I can get into my own diary, but I cannot read any diaries, as all the notify links take me to the DD homepage. I can't even get to your diaries by search or recent updates or the show all updates. Although our fearless leader says that things should iron themselves out sometime today. I hope so. Because when DD is unavailable, I have to do housework and laundry. Yuck!
Yesterday I went on a little excursion to the mall with my neighbor D. You should feel great compassion for her. She was riding in the car with a crazed woman. I was firmly entrenched in a manic phase, and behind the wheel of a car. It's a good thing she was in there with me, as I drifted into the wrong lane while making a turn and almost cut a guy off. She made some kind of distressed noise... something like "Aaaa ehhh whoah!"
that got me back on track. I'll bet she was wishing the SHE had offered to drive!
Anyway, as we left Trader Joes (a sort of health food store) .... I mentioned to her how manic I was feeling. And decided on the spot I needed to write some new lyrics to ...
"I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story.
Here, as promised are the results:
I feel manic
in a panic
it's titanic how manic I feel!
And so scattered
I don't know if I am really real!
I feel wired
oh so wired
I feel whacky and crazy and fey!
And I pity
anyone who might get in my way!
See the witty girl in the window there,
What's she thinking with that hairdo?
Such a manic style
Such a goofy smile
Stay and talk a while
She's so wonderful you see!
I feel giddy
Oh so giddy
It's just silly how giddy I feel!
And tomorrow
Who knows what kind of girl I'll be?
So there you have it. Now I really have run out of excuses, I must go clean my house. But hopefully when I get back, I will be able to catch up on what's going on in the whacky world of Dear Diary. (Hey, speak for yourself there cupcake. Whacky is YOUR department!)

If you get mis-directed to a can't find this page screen, try typing in 69.44.159.135 in place of www.deardiary.org in the address. It has worked for me everytime.
Love the lyrics. What a hoot!
I hope you feel better soon and get rid of it...!

But old Ms Manic might have done it.
I gotta keep a better eye on her....

Sung to the tune of "Feeling Moody"
Hold on, you're moving too fast,
Seems these cramps just last and last
Oh,
Midol holds the cure for me,
PMS just leaves me...
MOODY...
Sometimes it really STINKS to be a woman!

getting back to our original style of argueing i found your reviews to be interesting it pointed out to some interesting journals thankyou but i dont like it when you say something negative i know that is part of reviewing but i dont think it should be with regard to reading diaries now dont write to tell me off please just go and do your laundry
I've just read a tale of Mania!
And suddenly this dame
Will never seem quite sane
To me.
Mania!
This woman is caught in Mania.
And suddenly she's found
She's coming quite unwound
And free.
Mania!
Say it loud and they bring the straight-jackets!
Say it soft and you still make a racket.
Mania!
