A comment from Dustbunny3 yesterday.....



I offer my service as defence consul for BEN.
Now Ben is only doing what a he has programed to do.
(1) Please his Master
(2) She Fusses over Those tomato plants with loving care.
(3) she slices them and eats them with glee.
(4)Cans them,so they must be so good
(5) A good dog would follow suit to please his Master
ALL such charges should be dropped and cleared from record.

    As a gardener who is currently hovering over her own precious crop of tomatoes I am sympathetic to your cause. Ben was in the wrong and some consequence is in order.

    However, his mug shots show he was clearly remorseful; something one wishes were more prevalent in our society.

    I recommend a degree of leniency; perhaps a few weeks of community service and regular meetings with his probation officer....... ( ) would be the perfect choice I think. In addition I would assign Red the job of placing a protective shield around the tomatoes so as to reduce further temptation.

    Theft is theft. Just because I see Richard Thompson playing guitar doesn't mean I get to take his guitar and play it. Admiration can be an admirable quality, but not at the expense of personal property.
