They're Heeeere!

Those daffodils bloomed in the back yard.
They are so huge this year they reminded me of the alien ships in War of the Worlds.
Only this would be more like... War of the 'Dills.
Behold the behemoths:

What a great photo! Beautiful subject, but the angle is just perfect!

Ah, it does my heart good to see those blooms and know that in two more months, I may see some too! It is bitterly cold here, lots of new fallen snow and not a bloom in sight! Lucky you.

Lucky you..... those are a sight for winter weary eyes.
I noticed that mine are starting to bud and think I can expect blooms in about two weeks. For now I'm making do with a few tiny botanical crocus and some snowdrops. They are not very showy, but certainly a welcome reminder spring is on the way.

oh me ... are daffodils really blooming in some part of the world today ? This morning I had to shovel new sleet crusted snow from the top of old sleet-crusted snow just to get to the bird feeder ...thanks for the pics :)

I'm so jealous. Our daffodils are still coming up but not blooming yet. I see them here and there around but it's really too early for full on bloomage. Soon though, I can hardly wait!
