In Which You Are Spared The Gory Details
Tue Sep 01 2009

I have a close up picture of Classy's toe operation.

But I'm not going to put it on here.

I have compassion for the squeamish among us.

But it really is a nice neat job. Kudos to the vet who took off the offending bump.
She said it had no vascular system of its own, and that was a hopeful sign. They sent the tissue off to the lab to see if it is something to worry about... or not as we all hope.

She has been a very good patient. Not running around too much and staying nice and quiet for me. She does limp a bit on it as one would expect. The poor thing has sure been through the wringer lately.

I have been canning peaches today. And will probably do some more day after tomorrow. At last they are ripening. Eventually, it is on my list to make peach conserve with orange, almonds and cloves. I have never made such a thing, but feel like I want to try it this year.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

I'm sure the Hen will be pleased that we are finally putting some food by.

She is such a good pup.
    Get well soon, Classy!!

My peaches are falling off the tree again. They are so pretty on one side, then you turn them over and they are split open right down to the pit.
    *sigh*
    *double sigh*
    I think I give up.

I canned peaches on summer. By winter, I was back to buy store boughte canned peaches. They just didn't last through fall.

Peach conserves. Sounds delicious!! And I expect the results will be sensational.

Classy is such a good girl! I hope the test comes back negative. She's had enough, already.

    Bless

Poor pup......she sure needs a break; joining you in hoping for good news.

Over the years I have been gifted with several wonderful conserves; the recipes of which were carefully guarded secrets. I have never had peach, but it sounds wonderful.

Poor Classy, she sure has been through alot, but so fortunate to have you in her life to help her heal, get healthier and be ready for a new mommy and daddy. She is a real class act that girl. The peach conserves you mentioned sound incredibly good. Look forward to hearng about them and hopefully can come down and sneak a taste. :-))We have plums from the second tree in T's yard right now. Different than the first tree, very good too but a different taste. Yum! Gotta love summer.
