Imagine if you will a picture of Alfred E. Neuman.
That would be me today...
Caption on the picture?
"Election? What Election?"
I'm not talking about it.
(You just did.)
Okay, I'm not talking about it any more in this entry.
(Wanna place a small wager on that Cupcake?)
No.
Instead of apple butter.... still waiting on that peeler.... I made some peach freezer jam from 8 huge peaches we bought up at Apple Hill on Sunday.
It's weird, you make up the jam and then let it sit out on the counter for 24 hours before you freeze it. That just feels wrong. But I'm doing it.
I finished a knitting project that I can't talk about yet because it is a gift. Which cleared up my unfinished objects pile, save one....

I abandoned these socks months ago. They haunt me like a ghost of Little Red Hen. After I had been working on them for a while, in early summer, I joked with my knitting group friends that I had a feeling they would end up becoming 'Election Day Socks' as I figured it would take me that long to finish them.
(Ha! I knew it! I could be RICH right now....)
You ARE easily amused aren't you?
(It's a coping mechanism. That's what the Duck told me anyway...)
So, now that we are approaching the fateful day, and the fact that I cannot decide what my next project is right now, I have hauled these pesky socks out of hibernation. Oh, the pattern isn't hard, it's just the yarn is SO tiny! And I seriously wonder if I have forgotten how to turn a heel, how to pick up and work those gusset stitches.... never mind the dreaded kitchener stitches at the end.
Tonight is Kol Nidre. All Vows. So if I vow to finish these before the new president is announced, my vow will be null and void by 8 o'clock tonight.
So I won't make any such Declaration of Sockependence at this time.
(Technically the 'new president' comment is an election reference you know.)
( ), you need to get yourself a hobby.
Anybody have suggestions for a hobby for ( ) ?
For any of my readers who are Jewish... May you have an easy fast.
