Where have I been? Good question! I have been satisfying my blog itch in a different way for the last many days by participating in this free art 'class'. https://www.creativelive.com/courses/28-to-make?utm_campaign=28tomake&utm_medium=social&utm_source=instagram&utm_content=28tomake-28tomake For the month of February, there are assignments for every day from 5 different teachers. They aren't big projects as you will see, but are designed to get you DOING something artsy, no matter how small. I won't go into all the details, but here are a few of my efforts...   Draw what you are drinking: DSC00275c   Draw a favorite album cover: DSC00301 30 Circles: DSC00356   Self portrait by looking in a mirror, and not at your paper... SCARY! DSC00409   Blackout poetry: DSC00446   Tangram. [Never heard of these before] DSC00449 Put a sticky on it. DSC00458 (You have an unnatural obsession with that tub of wheat. It's starting to creep me out.) But the pumpkin doesn't bother you? (Well, now that you mention it, that stupid thing keeps showing up too. What's up with that?) It's cute. I like cute. (Well judging by your self portrait, I could see why you might be attracted to something besides what's in the mirror, so knock yourself out with the pumpkin.) Sigh.   lime wild

Great class :) I love Tangrams. My students used to have a great time putting the pieces together into their original square and matching shapes with the Tangram pieces..... but that was before the TESTING mania hit U.S. schools and I had to give up my "Fun Math Fridays". Sigh. Interesting self portrait. Keep going~~~

You might mention that the portrait was drawn with your non-dominant hand...if memory serves?

Impressive Self Portrait. Add some color and a frame, your guests will think you have a Picasso.

I agree, think the self-portrait is quite striking. Definitely Picasso-esque.
