I'm still adjusting to cooking for just myself. It has its down sides for sure. Raisin Bran for dinner, occasionally happens around here. I made it a personal rule when I moved in, to always sit down at the table to eat my meals, and not wander around the house with a plate of food or sit in front of the computer to eat. It seemed important somehow. This morning, … well actually, last night, I decided I needed some scones. So this morning I took the extra time and made myself a batch of them, even though I was really hungry and the Raisin Bran would have been a lot quicker. It was worth it….
Breakfast (I know the real reason you made those scones.) Oh you do? (Yep.) And what's the real reason smarty pants? (So you could eat lemon curd like a civilized person and not sit around like a heathen eating it out of the jar with a spoon.) Civilization is highly overrated.

Your scones look delicious and I have been craving lemon curd myself. Must make some with the Meyer leomns from the garden. There is something about sitting down at a table to eat, isn;t there?

I still do my shopping in family sizes. Bad habits die hard, they say. But then, shopping is different to indulgence. Your scones are so indulgencesconish, a treat well deserved by your special self. keep making'em! oh, and double the numbers, you never know who may turn up at your doorstep for a breakfast one day ;-)
