Friday Pictures for Yarngirl and Friends

Here are two pictures of a bedspread that my Granny B. crocheted many years ago for my mom.

I'm running around trying to get ready for Shabbat today. I have challah to bake yet and I have been doing all the laundry. Plus all the various and sundry things that come up during the day. It's such pleasant weather, I can hardly believe it. Warm but not oppressive.
I ate some blackberries from the backyard today. I can hardly describe their wonderful taste to you. They are nigh on intoxicating.... and I think they nourish more than just the body. Perhaps my soul recognizes the taste from some more etherial realm. Who knows?

What a wonderful treasure. I've never seen a granny square with a daffodil center. Neat!
Wishing I could join you in the blackberry patch. I have always loved them. Yummmm...:)

Very lovely bedspread. I agree with you over the taste of food straight from your garden. ;-)

I made some baby blankets using that pattern. Used fine baby yarn, and they turned out beautiful. In fact the granny square was the first thing I learned to crochet.
I should take up the hook and yarn again. Very satisfying and calming.
