Home And Hearth
Sat Feb 08 2014

I'm toasting my toes by Bruce. Home safe and sound. Hmmm… let me rephrase that, safe and sounder. I had a restorative visit with good friends. For which I am very grateful. The restoration AND the friends.  :-) While away, C. and I went for a hike down one of the forks of the Yuba river. There's a wonderful covered bridge over it. And I do mean wonderful... Bridge   It's in need of some restoration, but she told me there are plans afoot to do that. I hope they do, this is worth preserving! Here are a few more views... Yuba1   Yuba trees It was a wonderfully warm and sunny day. Very unlike my drive home which involved varying amounts of rainfall. For about 50 miles of it, I would describe it as a deluge most welcome. Sunny was glad to see me. Though I doubt that she suffered many upsetting moments, since she was with S. who takes such good care of everything that is in her charge. It's her nature. I foresee listmaking in my future. I feel like launching into some new directions. Nothing earth shattering. Just re-focusing. I have a project in the works. Details will follow.  I'm in the 'assembling materials' phase right now. It's good to be home.   lime wild

I, for one, am so glad you are home. Safe and sounder. Lovely bridge. I love covered bridges.
