The weather is warm. Oddly warm. And to tell you the truth, annoyingly warm. It's NOVEMBER for pity sakes, where's the frost on the pumpkin and all that... wait a minute...
There's more to that...
Ah here it is, and he summed it up lovely:
A man who appreciates the putting up of apple butter and feeding angels... well, that's my kind of guy right there.
I've been working on a little project.
It looks something like this:

I knitted up a lamb and stuffed and felted it. The thing is still damp inside. I hope it dries out soon. It has bamboo stuffing and seems to have decided to stay soggy for a while. I liked it so much, I'm working on another one in white. The yarn will be very different, so I'm curious about how it will felt. This brown one is alpaca and the darker handspun on the points is from my friend P. It is sitting out in the full sun right now. I'm hoping my favorite law of nature [evaporation] will take over and dry it out.
I wanted to make myself a knitting mascot. The idea came about from a complex series of experiences at the knitting retreat. A sort of vortex of creative impressions all congealed into this idea. It's funny how those things happen to you.
Too bad mine are more of this kind and not... "Hey! I think I'll invent the microprocessor!" after attending a technology trade show in 1972, or something equally as momentous.
(You wish.)
I thought I had just established that concept.
(You wish.)
Sigh.
