In other areas I should practice the piano, do my Hebrew project, cut out a quilt that I bought fabric for, work on a hat I am knitting, and make some handmade paper so I can do some gourd crafting. But that would require straightening up the craft table which right now is strewn with a project my husband is working on.
In other words, I am playing hooky. Funny, when people ask me what I “do” which means “What is your job?’ and I say that I am a homemaker, I am sure that some people conjure up a leisurely life in their mind.
I wish.
Now while it is true that I set my own schedule and choose which tasks to do on which days, I’d like to see anyone tackle all of the above projects…
for free.
Any takers ?
That’s what I thought.
Weenies !!!
Allrighty, hooky time is over. I am going to go bake bread. Then I will be able to confirm one of my mottos in life : “ You know it’s been a good day if you have baked bread.”
Later in the day . . . .
Four loaves of whole wheat bread are cooling on the cleaned up counter.
All is right with the world.
