Well, the snow DID fall. About 6 inches where we are.   Then it got VERY cold. This morning it was 0 degrees here. Wowie. That's crisp.   But we have no fear here. My hero is on the job. I'm toasty warm as long as the wood holds out.   :-) In honor of the winter weather, I am making the quintessential cold weather food. Though it will be with special beans. One half of my entire crop of Turkey Craw beans.   I love this picture. It shows to perfection the angle of winter sun. A fitting portrait for beans that are about to be plunged into hot water, thus fulfilling their intended destiny in the grand scheme of things. What to make to go with them? Biscuits? Or Cornbread?
