After a few days of fairly warm and sunny weather, last night things took a turn for the blustery and rainy. Right now it is leaning more toward the blustery.

But out in the back yard there are some plants that refuse to get down in the dumps about this turn of events...

The miniature daffodils.

I just love these little things.

In case you ever see a pot of them that seem to cost WAY too much, suck it up and fork over the cash. They will pay you back with hefty interest.

These are the sixth or seventh cousins of the ones that I bought some years ago. They multiply like rabbits.

Yesterday the tomato seeds got planted in their indoor pots. Along with some petunias and snapdragons. I have never grown petunias from seed. We shall see how that goes. Also, sweet pea seeds are resting in damp paper towels in a plastic bag on the counter. The bed is all ready for them after I declared war on the encroaching bermuda grass yesterday. As soon as the sweet peas sprout, they will go outside. Blustery weather or no.

As for me, I will stay inside today, though I think it's time for some hot chocolate...

With marshmallows!

I don't really like marshmallows to tell you the truth....

(You better get the marshmallows if you know what's good for you....)

Oh all right.

Who's the boss around here?
You or that short person?
Buck up.
Be the authority figure.

I'll get the marshmallows.

Coward.

I should get some tiny daffs. They are such cheerful things and would be perfect in the window boxes I added last summer.
