This has been an unusual summer for us. Cooler temperatures, and more thunderstorms than I can remember for a long time. Some of them have rain, and some just cloud up and make a few rumbles and dissipate in the evening.
Today I drove over the hill to where the big stores are and loaded up on groceries. It was nice to be out and about and see other people. Sometimes I stay home too much...
Anyway, on the way home I passed by a nice view of our local dormant volcano. [although I understand there is a hot spring at the summit]. I glanced over there and saw a such a sight, that it made me pull off the road to take these pictures.
It looked like a REAL volcano for once. But it was only a huge thundercloud doing weird things...

It was quite the spectacle.

I love clouds. They give depth and texture to the sky.
I just wish thunderstorms didn't cause fires. Wouldn't that be nice?
