Wonder Woman

I was AWOL yesterday because I spent the whole live long day doing ..... stuff.
After being under the weather, and because of my own proclivity to homebodiness, I had an enormous pile of undone errands to .... well, .... do.
I shopped and gas stationed and libraried myself to the end of the list. Not one thing remained un-fetched. This is an unusual occurrence as I usually find some excuse to head for the barn at some point in the foraging expedition before my list is completed. But I found a little secret weapon. I think part of the reason I go home early is that I get hungry and run out of energy. Yesterday, while at Trader Joe's I bought a little bottle of drinkable yogurt which I downed unceremoniously in the parking lot of the library. It was like magic. I felt ready to take on a whole new set of tasks. Which is exactly what I did.
I collected my books at the library and headed home, put away all my stuff and started in on making a huge lasagna and a lemon meringue pie. (It was our wedding anniversary yesterday. So I wanted to make a nice dinner since Hub Man had already taken me up to Apple Hill to get apples and even sat patiently in the back of a yarn shop while I looked at everything they had.... twice.
Today I am gloating over the fact that I don't have to go 'out there' and do anything. I am also staring at this pile of yarn.

Well, 'yarn' is such a simple term. This is actuality a photograph of 'protosocks'. Except for the yarn at the top which is something altogether different which I do not wish to discuss at the moment.
(She thinks she is so mysterious. I can read her like a book. Sheesh.)
Only thing is, I can't start on any socks until I finish one other project. It's my rule. I have to stay focused, or I would have four projects on needles at the same time, and I just think that is a bad habit for me to get into.
And goodness knows, I have enough bad habits already.
(Hear hear.)

Happy Anniversary to you and Hubman!
Love that yarn stash. Yummy colors.
Being diabetic, I always have a stash of snacks whenever I go out and about. It does help tremendously in being able to keep going. I highly recommend it to everyone. Tomorrow is my big day to go to Minerville and do just what you did yesterday. Have snacks will travel! :o)

Happy Anniversary and pretty-please may I have the recipe for the pie? I haven't found one yet that we like and Rick loves lemon meringue.

That yogurt was a flash of genius. I'm going to remember it, because I do the same thing.
And the yarn...when I see yarn, or anything about felting, I think of You!
