Head Of State - And State of Mind
Mon Nov 14 2016

Well, we have a new president elect. That was quite a ride. For those of you who are disappointed, I will tell you, don't despair. For those who are elated, don't gloat. If you want something different than what you perceive is good for our country... then for pity's sake, roll up your sleeves and work towards your goals. That's WORK my friends, not smashing up random things and people. And if we have learned anything from this election, it's that truth and a firm grasp on reality are in short supply. Time to open up our minds and stop letting other people tell us what to think, or what is real. A good barometer of where you are holding would be to see if you can have a conversation with someone you disagree with without calling them names or slapping labels on them so you won't have to actually listen to what they have to say. We can do this thing. We really can. In case you missed it.... I said WE. Just sayin'.   lime-wild

Agree. Completely. Trying hard to listen and learn from family and friends and total strangers who obviously have a very different perspective than I do. And trying hard to understand the fears on BOTH sides. May God watch over all of us and move us all forward and teach us to love each other.
