Spring Trance
Fri Mar 16 2007

Pearls Girl by Underworld churns its way into my brain from the computer speakers as I type this.

Love it.

Freaky.

Though it does not exactly fit the mood of the day. Too much sunshine outside. It is better suited to driving in foul weather. Some songs just suggest movement. Literal movement. This is one of them. 75 miles an hour on wet pavement. Yep. That about covers it.

The fruitless pear tree in the back yard is SO loaded with blossoms that it is casting almost total shade. (Ours is a lot taller than that one in the picture) It was a welcome place to plop my chair under and eat lunch a while ago with Sunny and Hamlet sitting on either side of me. Hamlet was less than impressed with my split pea soup leftovers, but Sunny eats almost anything and dispatched it with relish, thinking the cat a total fool. [She may be right.]

I've been WAY less than productive this week and it finally dawned on me that I most likely have Spring Fever. I can HEAR the plants growing in the yard. Yesterday the air was thick with ..... green .....
a certain humid green atmosphere that I could almost draw on in the air. Intoxicating. Soporific. Lethargy inducing.

No wonder the floor still needs mopping, and about 40 other chores await completion around here.

I'm too busy watching Spring... um... spring!

Maybe that's what is wrong with me. Spring fever. Yep, that's it.

Well, let's just call it that cause I'm tired of the truth.

Oh how I have spring fever! But it's in the 40s here and rainy :( The first part of the week was sunny and in the 70s, what a tease that was. I need some of granny's spring tonic lol, Richard

And why not? After all Spring comes only once a year.

The floor will still be there next week.

    Enjoy!

    Shalom

I agree with Pragmatist.... these spring moments only come along, well... once a year! Grab the opportunity and enjoy every minute.

I must check my herb pot 10 times a day to see if anything else has germinated. I am easily amused.

Yay for Spring! The Chanticleer is a favorite tree of mine. Lovely! I can't wait to plant flowers in my pots on my deck. It's a lovely sunny day here although the temps are below 40 - just a tease of things to come.

    Enjoy the day!

I totally read that as 'Purls Girl' and had to glance back again when it registered on my decreasing gusset brain.

    It's hopeless now, isn't it?
