Cruising Pinterest is a dangerous business for me. I ran across something just recently that for some reason I just had to try. Only thing is I paid for it with a lot of mental gymnastics about how I was going to execute my own version of an amulet bag. I thought about it for days, and even made a prototype that ended up in disaster. But I could NOT let it go.

You might think... well how hard could this be? A little two by two inch object? It's the littleness of it that makes it a challenge, that's what. :-) I'm really happy that this project is over though. Now I can get on with my life.

I found the braided decoration at the bottom at the second-hand store here in town.

I put some very meaningful things inside. It makes me very happy. But lord have mercy, it took me three hours to make it! No wonder I saw some similar bags on Etsy that were selling for 32 dollars! Time is money, so they say. I have more time than money evidently. 💗
