It's been pretty warm today. I have stayed inside for most of it. Which gave me time to do a couple of creative things.
I want to make a lavender pillow from this year's lavender harvest, so I pieced together a slow stitch project. This will take me quite some time to complete. I just have things pinned in place. Looking forward to decorating it with various embroidery stitches.

For several days, I have been trolling Pinterest for watercolor ideas. I've been printing them out and making a pile. Today I chose one and painted my version. The inspiration piece is on the right.

It doesn't take much to amuse me. I rather enjoy trying to match the colors in the inspiration pieces. Very often, it's the colors in a painting that attract me to it first, then the subject. I painted this one in my sketchbook which I pulled off the shelf. I like the watercolor paper in it. It has some qualities of cold pressed, and a bit of hot pressed at the same time. Makes for good results.
Oh by the way, our Wrenchman Tim is on his trip out west taking photos of buffalo and waterfalls! He's on Instagram as: @timbo101724 in case you want to see his travelogue. 😊
