Weblog Review

For those of you interested in Diary reviews or critiques, I just ran across one the other day that is pretty good. You can visit it here:

Weblog Review
If you sign in, you can vote on the reviewed diaries/journals/weblogs.... I never know the REAL difference!

I have run across a few interesting diaries from reading the reviews, though none that I would re-visit. . . yet. I also find it rather amusing that we even HAVE such a thing! Web sites to review web sites :-)

It looks like most of the people who do the reviews are volunteers and their opinions are varied. I was even considering volunteering to do some reviews myself, as a writing project. But for now, I am visiting daily and just getting a feel for the place. Today I pretended that I would have to review one of the diaries that I was reading and I found out that I would have given it a VERY different rating than the official reviewer did! So if you want to submit your diary for a review, don't feel TOO bad if they don't like it, there's no accounting for taste. :-)

The Diary Critic (Click on the link in the menu at the left of my page) at least has a set system for giving out points. (Appearance, content etc.) But The Weblog Review ratings are just whatever the reviewer decides at the time of the writing. So it's a little more difficult to really interpret the numbers. IMHO. Some reviewers make it clear what they are giving points for, and some don't.

I really must run now and take my Passover brownies out of the oven. The whole house smells like chocolate. (Such a problem!)

I will leave you with a photo from the garden:

I love violas!

I would be hesitant to enter my diary or blog. I know I'm the only one truly interested in yarn, and goodness knows my grammar skills are fading away. I'd be scared to death!

Thanks for the website. Maybe I'll have some time to check it out later. Love the pic. ;-)

No worries, the byline is yours. Besides most folks that know me know I'm not so clever. There's another reason I wouldn't be submitting my diary or blog to that website. ;o)

Passover Brownies? I want Passover brownies! Chocolate... any chocolate will do. Gimme, gimme, gimme! I'm going to blame this on hormones, you know. ;-D Oh, I saw a great recipe for chocolate toffee matzo. I may just have to make that. And some passover pineapple dairy kugel, and...
