In Search of the Golden Chai

Okay this is NOT fair.

I finally have found four teas that I enjoy drinking.

Constant Comment
Chamomile
Republic of Tea's Blackberry Sage
and
Numi's Golden Chai

I was confident they would have a box of Numi at Whole Foods, but they only have Golden Chai in a sampler box with other teas. So I figured, heck, I live in the big city, I can find it elsewhere.

Wrong.

I called Cost Plus Imports.

Nope.

I called Trader Joes's.

Nope.

I have looked at all the local chain grocery stores.... hmmm Except Raley's.

I'll give them a call. Be right back. . .

Nope.

But he directed me to another natural foods store.

I called them. Yes they have Numi brand tea!

No, they don't have Golden Chai.

:-(

The one happy note in all this? I just saved ten dollars worth of gas by not driving around to find out this discouraging news.

I have put one of my sons in Oregon on the trail. (get it, Oregon Trail wink, wink)
And he is going to check at Fred Meyer. If Freddy's doesn't have it, I will have to order it on line. Now I ask you. Does that seem fair to you?

(If this is your biggest problem of the day there cupcake, you can count your lucky stars. I mean it. Right now. Get a move on, after me, one two three.... keep going.)

I'll bet old grouch face doesn't even like tea. What does he know? . . .

(I heard that.)

Four, five, six......

It might be worth it buying online, the prices may be better, and you don't have to drive to go get it!

RYC: I am a HUGE fan of Monet. His works enfuse me with a sense of peace. I adore his 'water lilies'. I saw the progression at the Met in NY a couple of years ago. I liked it so much that I reproduced over my fireplace as a mural in the other house. I am not in the least artistically inclined but he moved me

Personally, I am not a fan of chai. My taste in tea happens to fall closer to a darker, richer black tea. English Breakfast, Darjeeling, Ceylon are some of my favorites. I also do enjoy White Tea.

If all fails, try the internet. There is so much retail available for everyone's favorite products right at our finger tips.

Good Luck finding your tea.....Bogo

I forgot, Republic of Tea has such varieties. I love the Blackberry Sage as well.

The favors in my tea drawer:

Blackberry Sage
All Day Breakfast
Lemon Wintergreen
Ginger Peach
Cinnamon Plum

They are hard to find on the East Coast and can run a bit expensive. (But if you want a high quality tea, you can't beat Republic of Tea.)

Lots of Love.... Bogo
