I've been baking bread today. From start to finish, it takes longer than one would hope. The process is a little longer for me because I start with wheat berries. I have a wheat grinder that is a low and slow one, so it takes about 15 minutes to grind enough wheat for my four loaf recipe. I made two braided loaves with some of the dough to use for Shabbat this evening. So, I even had to bake the bread in two batches. One of loaves in the pans and two braids. The last of it is in the oven now.
Today I had a shipment from Jet Pens. I ordered some ink and a new pen.
(WHAT happened to the 'I don't want to collect pens' sentiment you expressed earlier? Have you no self- control?)
I totally cop to waffling. I abjectly surrender to inconsistency. Fully stipulate I am failing to live up to that earlier statement. Can we move on?
(I don't know. . . seems like a character flaw to me.)
It's not nice to be so unforgiving.
(Who ever said I was nice ?)
You have a point there.
(Of course I do. I always do.)
Anyway. Here is the ink I bought to go with my Sailor pen. I wanted to get something that went with the color of the finials. I love purple inks. But not ALL purples. This one finally hit the sweet spot for me.... AND my pen.
I love this pen. It writes like a dream. Head and shoulders above any other pen I have.
Then, I bought a very inexpensive glass nib pen for testing inks. It's so easy to just dip it into the ink, write, then dip it into water and Bob's yer uncle, your test is finished.
I even have an ink that matches the cap!
It's a happy day at my house.
(You are easily amused.)
You cannot shame me about that. It's one of my best qualities!
