I help with all three grandchildren - ages 8 and 4 and soon-to-be 1. It's busy but I'm so glad to be near and able to help.
I'm hoping to go the the Barr Family Reunion on July 25. There are still a number of us in our generation who are willing and able to get together once a year and several in the next gen down who come as well. It's a brief gathering but a good group remembering the difficult lives our parents had during the Great Depression and the strength they gained from persevering through it. Sure do miss my Mom and yours, in particular.
You know, the reunions I remember the most fondly were when we were sprouts. Tromping around the farm with Rusty like a clutch of ducklings or something. That was a long time ago. Wow....
Yup. I refer to him as Rusty, the Pied Piper, with all of us just a couple years younger traipsing around after him. He and Sandy are about to celebrate their 60 anniversary and Brian, their son, has asked me for photos. I’m trying to find the time to start going through mom’s photos.
Many good memories. And I remember when you all left Shelby and went west. Whew. I was so sad.
