It's ALL Good
Mon Apr 07 2003

A quiet day at home.

Except for a trip to the nursery to buy some petunias and a little more soil for the raised bed. The last bed is now officially ready for tomato transplants.
Even though they are no where near ready to be set out yet.

Clouds come and go. Large and small ones. It’s kind of gray outside right now and I wonder if there will be a shower before dark.

We also bought lady bugs to turn loose in the yard. I have some aphids on the rose bushes and a few on a tree or two, so we thought we would give them a try. They come in a little mesh bag with some sawdust in it.
You are supposed to turn them loose on a newly watered plant after the sun goes down. I hope they decide they like the look of our yard and settle in.

We have been watching videos that our friends took on their trip to Israel over a year ago. There’s 12 hours of tape. We are only through with half of it. I feel like I have been taking a crash course in Israeli history. The tour guides really know their stuff. It is fascinating to see and hear about someplace I long to visit one day. I almost feel like I have been there !

Uh oh, I think I hear thunder. Maybe the ladybugs will get fresh water from a little rain shower to tempt them to stay on our plants. . .

The new week awaits. Much to do. But as our Rabbi says, “It’s all good.”

Seems I remember a chant from when I was a child about "Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home..." but I don't remember the rest of it.

More appropriately it should be "Ladybug, ladybug, here is your home!"

I sure hope your lady bugs stay, too. ;-)
