The other day, I was going through some folders on my computer and organizing some older photos. I ran across one from just about this time last year.

But what really interested me was I had just arranged the house and fence, etc. of my 'fairy garden', even though it is more of a farmhouse garden.

Anyway, I took a picture of what it looks like now, after S. brought me a bag full of moss from her work at the tree farm, months ago.

It's amazing how they decided to take over!

There are four varieties, plus some kind of succulent that snuck in with the moss. One variety is almost dormant right now and I think it must be that it prefers colder conditions. It's a very nice bonus that none of the deer or squirrels or turkeys or the blue jays care about this little garden and so far it remains unmolested. Everything else on the porch is always in jeopardy.

So far, we have had moderate summer temperatures for the most part. I hardly know how to think about it. Such a welcome change from recent years.

Well, off to start my day.
