Sometimes when I am creating an experimental knitted item, there is this element of...TERROR that I have to get through. Especially when said item gets thrown into the washing machine after all my careful planning and changing and altering on the fly. I was totally winging it today as I tried putting a pocket on a bag. Something I don't think I have ever done before.
The execution was nerve wracking. And I found that when I had finished sewing it on, I hadn't quite gotten it right. But I learned WHY, so next time I can do a better job.
But we loves it for what it is. A pioneer. A forerunner. An adventurer. THE PROTOTYPE.
So I want your opinion about the next thing.
Should I send this to market with...
Or without the charm...
Or how about as a pair…?
It's been a good knitting day around here.
But I'm kinda creatively drained right now.
I need to go on an artist's date. {Julia Cameron's suggestion from "The Artist's Way"]
Perhaps it's time for an exploration of the woods.
Lucky for me, the woods are handy by.
