Terraforming
Fri Jan 13 2012

I am starting myself a terrarium.

I am under the influence of an article I saw in a magazine that instantly appealed to me.

I went to two different garden centers and only found one moss ground cover available right now. So yesterday, all I had in there was a clump of moss.

But today there are additions.

I was out raking a few leaves and I noticed a tiny viola growing in a hard packed dry spot of earth by the fence. I couldn’t believe it was blooming. I rescued it and put in in the terrarium.

Then I went for a walk before knitting group and found some kind of plant growing along side the path and cut myself a triangle of it and brought it home with me.

Things are looking up in Terraland.

The above picture is from Hamipiks.

I’m trying an experiment.

I want to see if I can put my flickr link here.

This picture was taken with my new camera.

I think we are going to be friends.

Now you need some kind of small insectile or reptilian creature to live in your little wonderland.

Have not done a terrarium in years......what fun!

Curious though.... how big is your container? Might we see a picture from the outside?

The pictures are great, but they're huge. Any chance you can resize them down a bit? I have to scroll left and right on my Acer to read your entry!
