Surprise!

Well, my hens and chickens, you just never know what might happen to you when you get up in the morning.

Our Rabbi organized a public lighting of a huge Hannukah menorah on the state Capitol steps like every year. This year he invited the Govenor to participate.
Which he most definately did! We were so honored to have him there. He gave a wonderful speech and joined in enthusiastically with the whole cerimony. I was impressed with his sincerity and humility. And I even got to shake his hand, which was something I did not expect to do. Here are some pictures I took and had them developed today, just so I could share them with you all. I think if you click on them, they will open up to a larger picture. They are rather large files so I gave you the choice.

Happy Hannukah and Merry Christmas !

Wow Arnie is your governor? In all the time I've been reading your diary I had no idea where in the States you where! I think it's very cool that he attended your ceremony.

Hugs and Happy Hannukah (hope I spelled that right?)

Drat!! I can't pull up your pictures. Can you send them another way? This is the first time I haven't been able to see your pix. I hope you have another way to send them.
