A Small Report
Tue Oct 09 2007

The travel dust has settled so I think I am lucid enough to tell a little bit about our first annual family reunion.

We travelled all day to meet in a more or less central location at Trinity Lake in Northern California.

It was so wonderful to see everyone. Well not quite everyone as one of my sons had to go to a week long training thing from his work, and my nephew and his family were actually moving to a new place that weekend.

But we are hoping next year we will all be able to make it.

We hiked and cooked and played cards and learned to knit and played Scattagories and Pictionary and had a Scavenger Hunt and generally whooped it up.

Mamallama and I saw this half grown little guy first thing ....

It's like he 'knew' he should avoid us, but couldn't quite get into the 'head for the hills' mode.

Here's what the area looked like:

And we 'grew' one of these indoors.

Tree

We don't know what this stuff is that is growing but it took several hours to finish. Anybody have an idea what it is?

Anyway, we are already planning next year's get together. And already I can hardly wait.

Oh my!! Take my breath away. Makes me want to run up to WA and visit my daughter and her gorgeous scenery!!!!

That little Coonguy is cute. Wonder where mama was.

Would you adopt me for next year's family get together?

    Bless

Can't I come next year? Rick and I still dream of a trip to California, someday. I'd love to come and visit everyone! Every time we talk about it I tell him that your neck of the woods is an absolute must, with hopes to see Rebecca and Chaya and anyone else who can come.

What a beautiful, beautiful place. And how neat that you all got together and enjoyed each other's company.

I have no idea what the chemical is, but what a cool tree. I may have to order some of those. My grandkids would love it.
