Fresh Revisited
Thu Feb 07 2019

Well, I am into my second round of Hello Fresh meals and here are my short observations: They come with quality fresh produce in exactly the amounts needed for the recipe so there is NO waste. I don't throw anything out. This is a big deal to me. The recipes, (so far) are delicious. I am trying new foods. I'm learning new cooking techniques. I don't have to do as much shopping, nor gather up a passle of ingredients that I might not use again for half a year. (See waste above.) This also reduces my decision making, which is something that is a bit of a drain on me in my old age I have discovered. Too many choices wears me OUT! I'm eating a more varied and nutritious diet. Because I get at least three and sometimes four servings from these 'two serving' meals, it is actually economically feasible for my budget. This observation is a bit on the intangible list, but I am having less anxiety about 'what I'm eating'. I KNOW it's nutritious, made at home from fresh real ingredients that haven't seen the inside of a factory much. These days a person can have so much angst about 'good' and 'bad' foods. It's emotionally exhausting. And the most important thing of all?...... I'm having FUN!  :-) Now that wasn't so painful was it ()? (Remarkably, I must admit. It was tolerable. That is if you stop right now. Otherwise I might have to revise my response.) I'll spare you any further input. (I'm forever grateful.) I'll leave you with my favorite meal so far..... pretend the cilantro is disappeared. I gave it to Bruce. IMG_0271 lime-wild

So glad to hear you didn't have to eat the cilantro. I am sure Bruce dealt with it appropriately. If it were not for the NEW foods, as you mentioned, I might be tempted.
