  It has been remarked by several people of my acquaintance in the last few days that they have noticed the first hints of fall in the air. I could not agree more. I was discussing it with a friend this morning that the angle of the sun, the cooler nights, the direction of the winds, the shortening days, the very atmosphere has shifted. Signs of change. I think my garden noticed all of this and has decided it is now time for harvest to begin.
