It has been remarked by several people of my acquaintance in the last few days that they have noticed the first hints of fall in the air.
I could not agree more.
I was discussing it with a friend this morning that the angle of the sun, the cooler nights, the direction of the winds, the shortening days, the very atmosphere has shifted. Signs of change.
I think my garden noticed all of this and has decided it is now time for harvest to begin.
And this year I have a brand new, never before seen species that appeared in my corn patch...
I'm bestowing upon it the moniker... Corning Glory.
Amazing what Mother Nature can come up with when you aren't looking.
But then... we are looking now aren't we?
Shhh... quiet. Maybe She won't notice.
:-)
