Cats! Our Sura had an unerring instinct for finding the most comfortable spot in the house. If the coverlet was turned down a fraction, he would be there on the folded bit, where it was a tiny bit softer.
I used to call him "Princess" sometimes (he had a lot of nicknames, some less flattering than others), from the story of "The Princess and the Pea".
